Nasir El-Rufai, a former governor of Kaduna State, was accused of political persecution by former Nigerian Vice President Atiku Abubakar on Monday.
El-Rufai is experiencing unnecessary distractions, he continued.
Atiku made the submission in a statement posted on his Facebook page, wishing the former governor a happy birthday, according to Naija News.
The former presidential candidate asserts that El-Rufai’s service record, mental clarity, and purpose are indisputable despite the political persecution.
“To Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, happy birthday. An intelligent, brave, and unusually wise man. His record of service, as well as his clarity of thought and purpose, remain indisputable, notwithstanding the current political persecution and unnecessary distractions. “May Allah grant him courage, tranquility, and wisdom in the years to come,” Atiku wrote.
