Lilian Afegbai, a Nollywood actress, has disclosed that she would rather keep her relationships and private life entirely private, even from close friends.
Afegbai clarified in an interview with Ify’s Kitchen that she doesn’t feel the need to divulge personal information to others because she naturally keeps things to herself.
According to Naija News, she claimed that trust issues related to early experiences are the cause of her reclusive demeanor.
Afegbai described herself as a work in progress and added that she is pursuing therapy to overcome these obstacles.
She also mentioned that people frequently misinterpret her amiable demeanor.
She carefully selects who she allows into her private life, so having a large circle of friends does not imply that she is close to them all.
“In real life, I don’t talk to my friends about my relationship or my private life,” she stated. I am a very private person, and I don’t care if you think I’m unreliable; I just won’t talk to you about my private life. I simply struggle with trust because of my early trauma. I am still a work in progress, but I am even addressing it today by visiting a therapist. People assume I am close to everyone since I have a large number of friends. I’m not at all like that.
