Diana Namulinde, a 24-year-old businesswoman and social media content creator, was discovered dead in her Kyanja, Kawempe Division flat. Kampala police have opened investigations into her death.
Luke Owoyesigyire, deputy spokeswoman for Kampala Metropolitan Police, stated that the incident took place in Kwaata Zone, Kyanja Ward, on the evening of February 3, 2026. At the time of the incident, Namulinde, better known online as Diana Skys, was living alone. The next day, February 4, her body was found when friends went to her house and finding the apartment door unlocked.
Owoyesigyire attested to the fact that scene-of-crime officers and homicide investigators recorded witness accounts and recovered a number of exhibits. According to preliminary evidence, Namulinde may have been strangled during what the police suspect was an aggravated robbery.
The first suspect apprehended was a security guard who worked at the location and was discovered in possession of what seemed to be stolen property from the dead. Three suspects in all were later identified by police, and two are now being held to help with ongoing investigations.
“Investigations are ongoing, and the deceased’s body was transported to KCCA Mulago City Mortuary for postmortem examination,” Owoyesigyire stated on Thursday.
