Dan Ulasi: No one should question Wike’s performance.

Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain Dan Ulasi has stated that no one should doubt the effectiveness of Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), pointing to Wike’s track record as the former governor of Rivers State and what he described as obvious infrastructure projects throughout Abuja.

During an interview on Arise Television’s The Morning Show on Thursday, Ulasi made the statements.

“You’ll see what Wike is doing, exactly what he did in eight years as governor of Rivers State, if you go to most parts of Abuja today,” Ulasi remarked.

Even though Wike hasn’t been an FCT minister for up to three years, he contended that the developments being carried out in the country’s capital offer unmistakable proof of performance.

The Federal Capital Territory has a performance that serves as an example. He has clearly demonstrated that we can use public office to do good, but he won’t accomplish everything in two and a half years,” he remarked.

Ulasi urged the FCT minister’s detractors to visit Abuja to personally examine both completed and ongoing projects.

“And I’m challenging everyone in Abuja. He added, “I’m willing to pay for us to go and check the extent.

Some of the projects, he said, are situated in areas of the capital that have long been overlooked.

“He’s fixing most of the roads in areas that aren’t supposed to have good roads,” Ulasi said.

Additionally, the PDP leader defended Wike’s performance as Rivers State’s governor, stating that his record in office speaks for itself.

“Nobody should challenge Wike in terms of performance because everyone was coming to inaugurate one project or another when he was governor of Rivers State, including emirs and sultans,” he stated.

He claimed that Wike’s active and successful tenure as governor was demonstrated by the regular commissioning of projects by well-known traditional and national leaders.

“That indicates that someone is working,” Ulasi continued.

Ulasi also bemoaned the nation’s “poor culture of accountability,” where performance is frequently disregarded in favor of other factors.

“No one in our nation is valued for their performance. He declared, “We have value for stealing money.”
