Raheem Okoya, the 22-year-old Executive Director of Eleganza Industries, has denied that he is taking advantage of his father’s fortune, saying that he works and gets paid.
In an interview with BBC News Yoruba that was shared on its Instagram page on Tuesday, Raheem, the son of wealthy businessman Rasaq Okoya, revealed this, according to Naija News.
Raheem refuted the idea that his status and way of life was inherited from his father’s reputation and wealth, pointing out that he has found independent backers for his musical endeavors.
He claims that his father, who started the Eleganza empire from nothing, made a conscious effort to instill in his kids the importance of working hard.
“I work,” he said. I get paid for my work. I have investors. People think my music is real. They funded it.
“My father wasn’t wealthy at birth. He makes an effort to teach his children certain values. Instead of merely spending and destroying, he wants his children to be able to work and make a fortune.
Raheem Okoya, the 22-year-old leader of one of Nigeria’s most well-known industrial firms, explained that the appointment was not an accident, saying it was the result of almost ten years of careful planning.
“I’ve been learning this position my entire life,” he remarked. I’ve been following my father since I was in school. It doesn’t happen overnight. It’s been 10 years in the making.
It’s undoubtedly difficult. The obligation is great. People are already observing you. You’re still young. They want to distrust you already. You must constantly demonstrate your knowledge of the subject.
