Victor Osimhen, a striker for Galatasaray, has stated that he is one of the best center-forwards in the world of football ahead of their Champions League matchup with Juventus.
Before Galatasaray’s UEFA Champions League play-off first leg against Juventus, Osimhen did not hold back when discussing the game’s top strikers in an interview with Italian sports daily La Gazzetta dello Sport.
He remarked, “I know I am among the best center-forwards around [in the world], but I don’t like making comparisons.”

In an era that has players like Harry Kane of Bayern Munich, Robert Lewandowski of Barcelona, Kylian Mbappe of Real Madrid, and the prolific Erling Haaland of Manchester City, it is a daring assertion. However, Osimhen’s recent success and impact give his optimism some weight.
Since moving from Napoli to Galatasaray, the 27-year-old has rapidly emerged as the main offensive target for the Turkish champions. He was instrumental in winning the Super Lig the previous season, and he has continued to play well in Europe.
Later tomorrow, February 17, Galatasaray hosts Juventus at RAMs Park at 9 p.m., knowing that they can advance to the Champions League Round of 16. For Osimhen, the tie has additional significance. From his stint in Serie A, he is well acquainted with the Italian powerhouses, and he will also rekindle his friendship with Luciano Spalletti.
