After leaving Chippa United, Nwabali declares, “I’m open to any club.”

One of the most well-known free agents on the African market is Stanley Nwabali, the goalie for the Super Eagles, who has stated that he is open to joining any team after leaving South African team Chippa United.

After a four-year stay that greatly accelerated his career, the 29-year-old recently ended his contract with Chippa by mutual consent.

After impressive performances at AFCON 2023 and the 2025 tournament, where his ability to save penalties helped position him as one of Nigeria’s best goalkeepers, his reputation skyrocketed.

Nwabali revealed that he is still awaiting a solid offer in the wake of his abrupt departure, despite his increasing prominence.

In an interview with Andile Ncube on Sports Nights Amplified, the goalie emphasized that he is not interested in making a quick move but rather is focused on identifying the ideal sporting endeavor.

Nwabali’s advertisements stated, “There are no restrictions; I can play wherever I want to.”

Any club, domestic or foreign, is welcome. Football is about enjoyment, and I put my happiness first.

Nwabali has been connected to a number of teams, including the English Championship team Queens Park Rangers, the Saudi team Al-Ettifaq, the Moroccan team Raja Club Athletic, the South African powerhouse Kaizer Chiefs, and a possible move to the Rwandan division. His first move into European football would be to QPR.

The goalie noted, though, that none of the alleged connections had led to official negotiations.

“No calls have come in yet. Only my family, friends, and those who are horrified by the news have called me,” he disclosed.
