Fintiri Breaks Silence: “He didn’t want to leave, so we excused him.” Regarding the Resignation of Atiku Son

Ahmadu Fintiri, the governor of Adamawa State, has responded to inquiries on the resignation of the state Commissioner for Works, who is the son of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar.

According to Naija News, the governor addressed the reasons behind the departure, which fueled rumors of political conflicts.

According to Fintiri, the commissioner had no sincere desire to resign.

He clarified that in order to spend time with his father, the government had permitted him to resign.

The governor went on to say that time and moral considerations were taken into account in addition to politics.

Additionally, the governor promised that decisions like this are made with the long-term stability of the nation in mind, and that his administration continues to be focused on national unity and wider political objectives.

“We excused him,” he stated. He didn’t truly want to quit, in my opinion. In order for him to pitch with his father, as is customary, we excused him from the government. As I mentioned before, part of this has nothing to do with politics. Morality also has a role.

And we believed that in order for them to proceed, he should be granted permission to accompany his father at this time. And for those of us who have a strong belief in this nation, witnessing others as we grew up helped to maintain it so that we could profit from and enjoy it as well. Therefore, we shall pursue the southern candidate.
