ADC scared by our large voter registration – APC

Claims made by the African Democratic Congress (ADC) that state officials were forced to sign up for the party’s current electronic membership drive have been denied by the All Progressives Congress (APC).

In a statement, APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, condemned the claim as “entirely false and baseless.”
He stated the statements formed part of what he described a planned disinformation campaign by the ADC.

He added that an APC membership slip that falsely connected a known terrorist to the party had previously been distributed by the ADC.

Morka said the overwhelming registration proved Nigerians’ passion for APC’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

He declared, “Millions of Nigerians have registered and continue to register, voluntarily and enthusiastically.”

He clarified that due to public demand, the registration time had been extended from January 31 to February 8, 2026.

“Clearly, the ADC is intimidated by the phenomenal success of our party’s e-registration exercise, for obvious reasons,” he continued. That, however, does not excuse fabricating and spreading lies in an effort to discredit the exercise.

Morka added that while the ADC “continues to fumble and peddle falsehood,” the APC remained focused on “its onward march as Africa’s standard-bearer of digital and democratic innovation.”
