During a courtesy visit to the Force Headquarters in Abuja with Mr. Shehu Usman Osidi, the Managing Director of the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria (FMBN), and his management team, Inspector-General of Police Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to improving housing welfare for police personnel.

This was announced in Abuja by CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, Force Public Relations Officer, who noted that Mr. Osidi thanked the IGP for the cordial welcome during the visit and referred to the Nigeria Police Force as one of FMBN’s most important institutional partners.

He praised the Force for continuously assisting the Bank. In order to facilitate police officers’ easy access to housing benefits and mortgage facilities without administrative obstacles or conflicts, he advocated for increased cooperation.

Egbetokun stated in his speech that the visit was important and opportune in strengthening the two universities’ collaboration.

He emphasized that finding long-term housing options for police personnel around the country still depends on strategic institutional partnerships.

The IGP also reiterated that under his leadership, the welfare of police officers continues to be a primary concern, stressing that having access to excellent and cheap accommodation is essential to improving the morale, productivity, and general well-being of officers who put their lives in danger on a daily basis while serving the country.

He pledged to the FMBN leadership that the Force would continue to support efforts to enhance the living conditions of police officers, both while they are on active duty and when they retire.

He went on to say that the Nigeria Police Force is still dedicated to building alliances that support the welfare and dignity of its officers.
