Nasir El-Rufai, the former governor of Kaduna State, defied an attempt by security personnel to arrest him at the airport on Thursday.
When El-Rufai arrived from Cairo, Egypt, the security personnel reportedly confronted him in the airport lobby, according to Naija News.
But before he could agree and follow them anyplace, the former governor insisted on receiving a formal letter of invitation.
“Hey, no one—not even the president—could advise me to take any action. Send me a note if you would want to invite me,” he stated.
