Ibrahim Gasau, the president of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), has refuted an internet story that said he got into a furious altercation with Fouzi Lekjaa, the president of the Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF).
According to an internet post, Gasau and Lekjaa got into a heated argument during a recent CAF Executive Committee meeting in Morocco.
However, Gusau has now emphasized that he gets along well with Lekjaa and called the report untrue.
“I don’t know where the report is coming from,” he stated in a statement posted on the NFF website on Tuesday.
For my part, Lekjaa and I have always gotten along well.
“No yelling or insults were directed. He declared, “Whoever wrote that report engaged in mongering of complete falsehood.”
