Growing interest in Nigerian winger Femi Azeez has led Millwall to reject a €20 million approach from Ipswich Town.
Femi Azeez had a fantastic 2025–2026 season with the Championship team, making 37 appearances for the Lions in all competitions while tallying 11 goals and dishing out eight assists.
Azeez, 24, became one of Millwall’s best players and was rewarded for his efforts by being included in the Sky Bet Championship Team of the Season.
Millwall is holding out for a greater sum as interest in the winger keeps growing, according to Football Insider via Football League World.
The former Reading star, who still has two years left on his current deal at The Den, is reportedly being watched by many Premier League teams.
Azeez had an incredible start to his international career with Nigeria just days prior to the most recent transfer development.
In the Super Eagles’ victory over Zimbabwe in the Unity Cup semifinal on Tuesday night, the winger scored twice in his first game.
Later on, Azeez disclosed his long-term goals with the three-time African champions.
“I want to assist as well as score more goals. Additionally, I want to give the team greater opportunities. My goal is to participate in and win the AFCON. Playing for Nigeria at the World Cup will also be fantastic, Azeez said.
The winger is now anticipated to play once more on Saturday when Nigeria takes on Jamaica in the Unity Cup final.
