Daniel Bwala, President Bola Tinubu’s Special Advisor on Policy Communication, has claimed that a substantial number of the “Obidients,” or supporters of previous presidential candidate Peter Obi, are bot accounts rather than real people.
According to Naija News, Blawa made this assertion during an interview on Channels Television’s “Politics Today” on Thursday in response to inquiries over the administration’s regular responses to Peter Obi and his followers.
Peter Obi has very few street fans, according to Tinubu’s aide.
“When we remain silent, Peter Obi and his Obidients are talking about the Asiwaju government from morning until the next morning,” he stated. You say we are reacting to them when we answer them.
The majority of Peter Obi’s fan base, known as the Obidients, is made up of non-human individuals, or “bot accounts.” You will claim that if you are well-versed in social media and algorithm manipulation.
“However, there aren’t many actual Obidients who are human when you see them on the street.”
Speaking about Peter Obi’s success in the 2023 presidential election, Bwala claimed that religious discourse played a major role in the former governor of Anambra State receiving more than 6.1 million votes.
“He used religious rhetoric at that time,” he said. It will take a long time for the toxicity of what he introduced in 2023 to leave our nation.
Bwala contended that the All Progressives Congress (APC) running a Muslim-Muslim ticket increased the religious component, making it relatively simple to get support at the time.
Many religious leaders who supported Peter Obi during the election, according to the presidential adviser, no longer do.
“The same religious leaders who followed him at that time don’t feel his energy anymore,” he declared. Why? Because there was a Muslim ticket at the time, it was quite simple to whoop up.
Bwala also questioned Peter Obi’s ability to lead and manage people, pointing out that some of his close acquaintances during his tenure as governor of Anambra State have subsequently broken up with him.
“Have you seen any of Peter Obi’s former commissioners, aides, or administrative assistants that are still with him when he served as governor of Anambra until today?” he continued. He lacks man-management abilities.
He had Valentine Ozigbo, Kennedy Okonkwo, and everyone else in 2019. Aisha is currently the last person left; she will arrive shortly.
