VIDEO: Furious Igboho is seen wearing an APC-branded cap on Sunday. During Ramadan in Olubadan Talk

Sunday Adeyemo, also known as Sunday Igboho, is a Yoruba nationalist activist who was spotted on Tuesday sporting a fez headgear with the All Progressives Congress (APC) insignia.

After the monarch’s coronation, Rasheed Ladoja, the Olubadan of Ibadanland, hosted the inaugural Ramadan lecture, which Igboho attended.

According to Naija News, Igboho was seen greeting the monarch and the guest lecturer, Sheikh Muyideen Salmon, the Chief Imam of Offa, in a now-viral video that has gone viral on social media.

Both participants and internet viewers took notice of the activist’s choice of headgear, which was prominently marked with the APC emblem.

Nonetheless, Sunday Igboho seemed at ease in the video as he met dignitaries at the gathering, which was attended by notable individuals such as religious leaders and traditional rulers.

Reactions on Social Media
Since then, the video has sparked a lot of discussion on social media, with many users expressing shock at the development.

Some pundits compared the two separatist leaders and their alleged political paths, citing Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

Some users warned against reading too much into the popular video, while others saw Igboho’s appearance as a potential change in political affiliation.

View a few of the responses below.

“@OduduwaR – Igboho bravely daring on Sunday while wearing an APC cap. You cannot dine with those who have deprived the Yoruba people while fighting for their liberation. Ko is feasible.Brainsing 7: Ignore his calls and don’t collect money on Sunday, Igboho. How unfortunate.Diokparaigbo – Sunday Igboho, the well-known Yoruba Oduduwa freedom fighter, bravely wearing an APC cap. Joining forces with people of this caliber to fight for freedom is like erecting a castle in the sky.

@EmagnetTim Simply have a look at Sunday Igboho and show respect for Nnamdi Kanu.
Freedom f!ghter isonu. @spoiltkid: How can you defend the APC system, which has only caused the people to cry, while claiming to be a freedom fighter? It is a disgraceful example of belly politics to watch Sunday Igboho return from exile only to join the APC and glorify Tinubu. Why is it always the same Yoruba and the same pattern, Bikonu?

You cannot support the same horrible bunch of men while claiming to be a “defender” of the people.

The Southeast is still unique for just this reason. In the Southeast, we are aware that a clean break is the only real option.

We don’t seek “mercy” or “pardon” from a shattered union. We desire our own sovereignty.

We are not the same individuals. We don’t share the same tolerance for treachery.iamade040482: The truth is unsettling: the same agitation, various approaches, and different outcomes.

The government, according to many, “freed Sunday Igboho but jailed Nnamdi Kanu.” However, the strategic and legal distinctions between the two cases are overlooked in that narrative. You don’t have to concur with me. If you disagree, however, make a more compelling case that is based on facts rather than just feelings. Let’s take the discussion to a higher level.

Dissatisfaction in the area gave rise to both men. Both appealed to deep-seated resentment of exclusion and uncertainty.
Both drew ardent followers. However, their methods of operation differed.

Igboho’s protests on Sunday were mostly focused on South-West regional security concerns. He changed his tactics in response to growing state pressure, fought his case primarily through legal procedures overseas, and refrained from engaging in protracted public conflict with Nigeria’s government and judicial system. He followed the sensible advice of certain elders, and for his own safety, he was imprisoned outside of Nigeria. and ultimately liberated from what the Buhari administration most likely intended to harm him.

Nnamdi Kanu’s strategy was more global in scope and belligerent. His statements against state institutions, broadcasts, and courtroom demeanor all contributed to an ongoing direct conflict with federal authorities. Whether one agrees with him or not, persistent institutional conflict has more serious legal and political repercussions.

It has nothing to do with ethnicity. Who shouted louder doesn’t matter.
It has to do with interaction with power structures, tone, and strategy.

It is one thing to be agitated. The way you handle it—legally, politically, and publicly—often dictates the result.

Motions are initiated by passion. They are sustained by discipline. They are protected by strategy. Many folks don’t want to talk about that portion.Mr. Samuel 01 Even though I’ve made the decision to stop discussing politics, there are moments when I feel horrible about how superficial people’s opinions are. To begin with, Sunday Igboho did not represent the Yorubas and was never a liberation fighter, even if he had been.

So you have to pull someone’s tribe along with them just because they choose to do what you consider to be abomination? Did you witness any other tribe mistreat Cubana Chief Priest Obi Cubana or drag them and their tribe together when they joined the City Boy movement?

Just use common sense, you guys. Everyone has the freedom to select anyone they like in this democracy. Go ahead and pull someone down if you have problems with them; don’t involve his entire tribe.Everypolitics1: Igboho went from shouting “Yoruba Nation” as an exile fighter to donning an APC green cap at today’s Oyo Congress.

APC pardon is sweeter than exile? Or is he being pursued by Tinubu’s pardon and 2027 votes?

Nnamdi Kanu is still in the DSS cell. unequal loading of justice. If this shocks you, RT and share your thoughts.
