Tolu Arokodare acknowledges that moving to the Premier League has been more difficult than anticipated.

Tolu Arokodare, a striker for the Super Eagles of Nigeria, has acknowledged that living in the Premier League has been much harder than he had anticipated.

In an attempt to build on a successful stint in Belgium, Tolu Arokodare moved from Belgian team KRC Genk to Wolverhampton Wanderers last summer. Rather, he is now embroiled in a struggle for relegation.

With just three victories this season, following their 2-1 victory over Liverpool on Tuesday night, March 3, Wolves are at the bottom of the table with 16 points from 30 games.

Arokodare expressed his annoyance to Het Nieuwsblad. “The two leagues are comparable: physically demanding, intense, and fast,” he stated. However, you have to work twice as hard in the Premier League.

Admittedly, it wasn’t simple. My initial matches were difficult. It was more difficult than I had anticipated. Although I’ve come a long way since then, I’m still not where I want to be.

After a title push with Genk, the 23-year-old came to England. The battle now is to survive.

“I knew I would have to fight and that I wasn’t going here for vacation. Thus, not much has changed in that regard. He remarked, “I was fighting with Genk, and now I’m fighting with Wolves, first for the title, now to stay up in the league.”

Once commonplace, goals have been hard to come by. Prior to Tuesday night’s match against Liverpool FC, Arokodare had only managed two goals in 25 Premier League games after finishing as one of Belgium’s top shooters the previous season.

He declared, “I want to grow stronger and learn from this.” “But it goes without saying that being the top scorer the previous season and now not even close to double figures is difficult.”
