Saraki Strives to Strengthen the PDP Framework In Kwara

In anticipation of the general elections in 2027, former Senate President Bukola Saraki has stepped up efforts to unify the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kwara State.

Party leaders, ward executives, and important stakeholders from Ilorin West and Ilorin East Local Government Areas were entertained by Saraki during the previous week.

According to reports, the sessions, which took place around the Iftar and Maghrib prayers, were centered on increasing voter registration and fortifying grassroots organizations.

The interactions, according to officials, were a part of a purposeful plan to maintain close contact with party members and encourage solidarity, alertness, and active engagement throughout the state.

Speaking to party supporters, Saraki emphasized how crucial efficient coordination and voter mobilization are to winning elections.

“We must continue to focus on organization, mobilization, and making sure our supporters are properly registered,” he stated.

At the sessions, ward representatives reportedly gave the former Senate President an update on local activities and reassured him of their dedication to bolstering the party’s grassroots network.

In order to promote harmony and reconciliation within the party, Saraki also met with previous local government chairpersons, supervising council members, and former council members.

“The PDP continues to be a place where we all call home. Together, let’s move on from the past,” he said.

In a separate meeting with young women from the Ilorin South Local Government Area on Thursday, Saraki emphasized the value of women’s and youth involvement in party and leadership roles.

In an effort to maintain community involvement, the former Senate President also carried on with his humanitarian work through the Ile-Arugbo program, giving food assistance to elderly ladies in Ilorin.
