Thomas Frank is fired as Tottenham’s coach.

According to Sky Sports, Tottenham Hotspur fired manager Thomas Frank after losing 2-1 at home to Newcastle United on Tuesday night.

After a tremendously successful stint at Brentford, where he continuously outperformed with less resources, the Dane joined Spurs last summer. He leaves the team in 16th place in the Premier League standings. Tottenham has had a terrible run of play, but they are currently five points above the relegation zone.

Since 2008, no Tottenham manager has had a lower percentage of home victories in the Premier League than Frank. In their eight league games in 2026, the team has not won a single game, a precipitous drop that ultimately cost him his job.

The last straw was the 2-1 loss to Newcastle at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Results have significantly declined, with the team struggling with consistency, inventiveness, and defensive stability despite early signs of promise during his stay.

At first, there was excitement surrounding Frank’s appointment because of his history of transforming Brentford into a competitive top-flight team. But taking charge of one of the biggest clubs in England came with more scrutiny, more standards, and a team that hasn’t performed up to par.

Regarding the development, the Club has not yet issued an official statement.
