At least 79 Nigerians who were identified by the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) as the “worst of the worst” criminal aliens in the nation would be deported.
The Nigerians were found guilty of offenses ranging from drug sales and fraud to assault, homicide, robbery, and other connected offenses, according to checks conducted on the DHS website on Monday.
The people were detained as part of a stepped-up nationwide campaign against illegal immigrants, according to DHS.
The announcement said, “The U.S. Department of Homeland Security is highlighting the worst of the worst criminal aliens arrested by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.”
“The diligent men and women of DHS and ICE, led by Secretary Noem, are carrying out mass deportations in accordance with President Trump’s promise, beginning with the worst of the worst, including the illegal aliens you see here.”

Nigerians are allegedly among those impacted by President Donald Trump’s administration’s vigorous crackdown on illegal immigrants and criminals throughout the United States.
Amidst the increased deportation campaign spearheaded by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), some Nigerians are reportedly going into hiding, while others are discreetly returning home.
Particularly after a slew of high-profile run-ins with federal immigration agents, the widespread enforcement activities, which include house-to-house searches, have provoked fear, controversy, and protests in various regions of the nation.
